Loftus & Loftus Ltd. was founded by John P. Loftus in and has since its inception, has been a leader in the area of construction law. Although small in number, the firm has an outstanding record of success in highly sophisticated matters against some of the largest and most powerful law firms in the Chicagoland area.   Loftus also testified as an expert witness, noting, among other things, that identifying a person from feet was the equivalent of sitting in the centerfield bleachers at New York's Yankee.   Republicans John Swartout and Owen Loftus worked on the same team in to try to get Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck elected to the U.S. Senate, but they were on opposite sides this week when the governor signed a controversial renewable energy bill into law.. Swartout, who was Buck’s campaign manager, was part of the entourage in Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper’s office . Loftus and Palmer conducted many studies investigating ways in which memory can be distorted, many of which show that eye witness testimony is highly unreliable because it can be influenced by such things as subtle differences in the wording of questions.
